I played Yu-Gi-Oh as a kid. Years later, during the pandemic, I tried to sell my childhood collection — that didn't go as planned, and somewhere along the way I caught the collecting bug all over again. Getting back in, I saw what every collector already knows: the community runs on Instagram workarounds — polls for price checks, stories for auctions, DMs for trades. Tools that were never built for us. Marketplaces aren't better: TCGPlayer and Cardmarket are isolated, mostly dead listings with no photos. Private deals on Instagram and Facebook are how people get scammed by sharks who count on you not knowing what your card is worth.
This is the platform we should have had. A real social network built around what collectors actually do. A marketplace with verified middlemen, vouched by the community — the seller ships to the middleman, the middleman inspects the card and confirms it matches the listing, the buyer releases payment, and only then does the card ship. That's how deals stop being scary.
Plus Spaces — forums for the niche conversations. Misprints, faded copies, deck building, market bubble talk, the things that don't fit anywhere else. Competitive leaderboards for misprint collectors and faded-card collectors. And a contribution score coming soon — you earn standing by actually helping the community, not by gaming likes.
Yu-Gi-Oh first because it's what I know. Pokémon and One Piece next. I'm here, listening, building, fixing.
Free to keep, no ads, no algorithms. Built by collectors for the next ones.
